Dear members of the community, dear friends,
We are pleased to present the new - already 78th - issue of our community newspaper "Shalom". Since 2010, it has accompanied our community life, tells of our traditions, reminds us of our history and keeps the memory of dear people alive.
In this issue you can expect moving articles:
- A word from our rabbi for the New Year's festival of Rosh ha-Shanah. It is a reminder that man's task lies not only in faith and prayer, but also in building and preserving civilization - as part of a divine duty.
- Obituaries to several members of our community who have left us in recent months. We remember their lives, their work and their belonging to our community with warm words. Their stories show how closely personal destinies are linked to the history of our community.
- Memories and personal words from friends and companionsthat show us how important community, mutual support and cohesion are.
The newspaper "Schalom" is published regularly and is an important part of our community life. It documents our present, records memories and gives us the opportunity to learn from each other and stay connected.
